Digna Toledo’s Bio
I dream in shades of blue. I relish a sandy beach and splashing waves.
I shoot like I live: fast, purposeful and with vision.
My obsession with lights comes from its source (John 8:12).
My name means worthy and I rest that Christ has made me so.
I live with two kids on my hips, an exceptional husband by my side and a camera strapped to my back.
I am Digna.

1. Please tell us about your business and how you got started?
My fascination with photography began as most love stories do: a glimmer of interest, given time and effort, developed into a passionate pursuit. It started in February 2004 with the gift of a point-and-shoot from my now-husband. Then, in 2007, armed with a newer and better camera, I decided to stop poking my camera around like a bnovice and take classes at PhotoManhattan in New York City. My photography took off from there and has since evolved into a full-fledged venture, images intricately captured these days with a Canon 7D & Canon 5D Mark III. My breadth of experience is varied. From intimate engagement shoots to family portrait blowouts to an off-the-wall “trash the dress” wedding shoot. I do my best to combine my artistic vision as a photographer with my client’s desires. Best of all, I try to preserve my client’s memories and moments and that they are guaranteed to love the results.

So what is the hype with an All-White affair?
Here’s the reason….
“The color white can represent a successful beginning. In heraldry, white depicts faith and purity. White, an inherently positive color, is associated with purity, virginity, innocence, light, goodness, heaven, safety, brilliance, illumination, understanding, cleanliness, faith, beginnings, sterility, spirituality, possibility, humility, sincerity, protection, softness, and perfection. The color white affects the mind and body by aiding in mental clarity, promoting feelings of fresh beginnings and renewal, assisting in cleansing, clearing obstacles and clutter, and encouraging the purification of thoughts and actions.”
With that said, we would love to share an all white wedding we decorate. Below are some images that show the venue along with the centerpieces and Head table. This Bride & Groom wanted their event to very, very natural and clean-looking. The guests did not have to wear white but the entire venue was decorated in white.
These are their menus that the Bride and Groom designed to show their love for NY.
The entire location was dressed in white, from the walls to tables, linens & chairs, giving the room such a spacious and clean look.
The Bride was looking for Eiffel Tower design centerpieces with the lighting and Ostrich feathers which is exactly what we created for her.
We added Votive candles all around the room to give it a romantic feel.
Below are some more All White wedding inspirations we found on Pinterest 🙂

Elegant Wedding Bridal Showcase 2012 Photos By: Monique Simon Photography
It’s a proven fact that we spend most of our day perusing the Internet. So of course, when it’s your turn to be the Bride-to-be, it’s completely normal that you look to the Internet for some inspiration. It’s very rare that we find an actual Wedding Planning book in the hands of our brides these days. We often have brides approach us with emails filled with ideas they have found all over the web or in magazines. And lately the biggest trend is Pinterest. THEY ALL LOVE PINTEREST & SO DO WE
So what is Pinterest?
“Pinterest is a pinboard-style photo-sharing website that allows users to create and manage theme-based image collections such as events, interests, and hobbies. Users can browse other pinboards for images, “re-pin” images to their own pinboards, or “like” photos.” Wikipedia 😉 “Pinterest is a tool for collecting and organizing things you love.”
How to use it?
First things first request an invite from their homepage. Once you get one, log in and they will direct you to a “Pin it” link that you can drag into your bookmarks or favorites bar.
Pin it: A pin starts with an image or video you add to Pinterest. You can add a pin from a website using the Pin It bookmarklet or upload an image right from your computer. Any pin on Pinterest can be repinned, and all pins link back to their source.
Creata Board: A board is where you organize your pins by topic. You could pin ideas for remodeling your bathroom to your House Projects board, for example. Boards can be secret or public, and you can invite other people to pin with you on any of your boards.- – So, for example, if you find a DIY tutorial on wedding Card Boxes, you can add it to your “Wedding board” and it will always be available for viewing at a later date.
Follow: When you follow someone, their pins show up in your Pinterest home feed. You can follow all of someone’s boards or just the ones you like best
Is there other ways to Use Pinterest??
But of Course! Now you don’t have to print anything or email a bunch of attachments. Pinterest is a great way to share your inspirations & Ideas with other people including your Wedding planner, photographer, Invitation Specialist & your cake Baker and any other vendor. There is also a free app on the Iphone or Ipad available to download so you can pin at any given time. If you feel a bit overwhelmed with looking up attachments and old emails/ printout this website will work wonders for you! Download it today
