Almost every girl dreams of having a Princess Party at least once in her lifetime and if they get to have it, they will most likely create one for their daughter 😉 This theme is awesome cause you could use it for almost any life event (Baby Shower, Birthday Party, and even a Bridal Shower!)
If there are two things every Princess Party needs, it would be:
* SPARKLES *
* TUTUS *
With that said, we designed the concept of this 1st birthday party with those two important things in mind! This Birthday was held outdoor in a spacious backyard in Englewood, NJ. Our client wanted a simple, but memorable birthday for her daughter, so she rented tables and chairs and we brought in all the decor. Welcome to Bella’s Fairy Princess 1st Birthday Party!!
This was the entrance to the backyard where the party was held.
We created these balloon columns to represent the entrance of a castle.
These were the guest table centerpieces. Our client wanted something simple, so we made tulle pom poms, added a crown and some balloons on top of the centerpieces.
Here are some party favors for the Princesses that attended the party. They all received their own Princess cup & Tiara.
Everyone loved the tiaras so much that we saw some adults wearing them as well! ;o)
Here is a closeup of the Ruffled Tutu skirt we hand-made for the Head Table where we placed the candy buffet and all other desserts.
Here are the Homemade Rice Krispie Wands made by the Princess’s mom! These were yummy!
We blinged-out some vases and added star wands to bring some Sparkle to the table.
Matching Princess Favor Boxes for the candy display
When we came across this little wire dress figurine and we decided to recreate a Fairy Princess look but making her skirt out of tulle (the top was created with an elastic material and my favorite piece was the little feather that was added to the side as a pendant to really pull the look off), and then we topped it off with a Tiara 😉
Here is a collage of the highlighted items for this event. We really enjoyed working on this event from Start to Finish.

Picture this: You are planning your daughters upcoming Sweet 16, your sons Bar Mitzvah, your Wedding, or some other awesome life event. You know everyone will be taking fabulous pictures and posting them all over Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tumbler and every other Social Media site known to man. How could you possibly see all of those pictures that will be floating around the world wide web? Will you ask every single invited guest to email or text them to you one by one, or to send you a link to a Dropbox folder or some other medium like Hightail.com (Previously YouSendIt.com)? Or will you just hope that maybe, just maybe you will run across one or two pictures? A cool, relatively new, way of getting your event photos is by asking your guests to #Hashtag any photos taken your event when they are posting pictures to any social media sites.
If you have an entrance table with a guest seating arrangement, you can place a nice little frame with a reminder of your hashtag name. You can write something like “Please don’t forget to hashtag our event photos with #MarysFabSweet16”
Here are some tips to consider:
- Make it unique – Be sure to look up the hashtag on Instagram for instance before deciding on what the name will be.
- Try not to make it toooooo long!
- Make it memorable so people don’t have to run back to the seating arrangement to remember what it is
- Have the DJ or MC announce it at some point throughout the night to remind your guests to use this
Some of the Hashtags we consistently use at Favors & More include:
