What is usually one of the first things you see when you arrive at a large gathering or event such as a Wedding? Usually, there is a Seating Arrangement at the entrance to provide direction and order to the large group of people that is expected. There are so many options when creating your seating arrangement. How does one decide how to display the guests names and table numbers? You can use escort cards, seating charts or get really creative with letting your guests know where they will be seated. It is always a plus to create an eye-catching display for your guests, which will set the tone for the rest of the evening. Below are some ideas from our previous events, but there are hundreds more you could could choose from for your next event (you can get some cool ideas from Pinterest):
Above is a traditional way to display the place cards…in alphabetical order from Left to right. Little tented escort cards were used above. For more images of this wedding, click HERE.
These were place cards for a Holiday themed Event. We used Wedding Bells to hold up each place card. For more images of this event, click HERE.
The Bride & Groom for this NYC inspired Wedding both loved NYC as much as they loved Broadway Shows (their wedding was in a NYC theater!). They used Mini Cabs (that were designed and printed by the groom…great way to use his talents!!) to hold up their Placed Cards (which he designed to look like Broadway Tickets)!! So creative!
Here is the seating arrangements for a Bridal Shower we decorated, where the bride-to-be wanted all the tables named after one of her favorite designers. Super Chic! For more images of this event, click HERE.
Above you see name cards hanging from Manzanita Branches. It was a fun way to have the guests look for their names and sign the guests book on the way into the reception hall. For more images of this wedding, click HERE.
One of our Brides had as Custom Designed Frame made to showcase the seating chart. All the names are listed under each table number in alphabetical order. For more images of this wedding, click HERE.
Lastly, this is one of our favorites!! If you want to use something that is near and dear to your heart, try incorporating it into the display. Above, you see an Antique mirror and a few more props that belonged to the Bride & Groom. They had a personalized Seating Chart created to fit perfectly on top of the mirror and instead of using table numbers, each table was named after one of their favorite Artists. This was a vintage style for an outdoor, tented reception, which we absolutely LOVED! For more images of this wedding, click HERE.
As you can see, there are several ways to display your seating arrangements (these are just some of the hundreds out there). Whether you are traditional or not, be sure to make it a design that fits your personality and event theme/concept. Hope these ideas help!
